Generator to alternator conversion

I am looking for the simplist conversion for my 1960 Ranchero from its malfunctioning generator to any type of alternator. Fabricating the barckets/mounting will be no problem--it's simplicity in the wiring I'm seeking. After searching the web no simple solutions appear. Help. Thanks.
