: The 200 is the same dimensions as
: your 144 so there are no issues in
: dropping the engine in. The 250 has
: 4 bolts on the waterpump instead of
: 3 and also uses the low mount
: starter, which is the easiest way to
: tell. Just compare your starter
: location on your 144. The 250 will
: require some mods when installing
: into your Falcon, especially since
: yours is an early round body. Issues
: are radiator clearance, floor pan
: clearance due to larger bell
: housing, transmission mount
: modification. It can be done but
: does require some technical
: expertise. Go to our forum for an
: immense amount of expertise on

: I have a 1961 Falcon with the 144
: six
: that is toast. I have a 79 Granada
: donor car with a good six I would
: like to install in my Falcon. My
: questions before I start is will
: this fit? How do you tell the 200
: from the 250? Does the 250 have the
: 2 bolt starter? Thanks for any info.
