Tompkinsville National Cemetery

The dedication of the historical marker for the Tompkinsville National Cemetery will be on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Old Soldiers Cemetery on the corner of 2nd & Emberton Streets in Tompkinsville, Monroe County, KY. This site was a national military cemetery during the Civil War. This date marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Tompkinsville (also known as Morgan's First Raid). Other events are being planned, for the sesquicentennial of the Battel of Tompkinsville, after the dedication ceremony. Bring a lawn chair.
