I am looking for information on a Nannie Belle Huff (may be spelled differently). She was the mother of my great grandfather Charles Huff (Sturgill) and Riley Huff. Story goes she had the 2 boys with my grandfather who was married (currently or after the births of the boys) one day she showed up with the boys in tow at my grandfathers house and told him and Mary that she couldn't take care of the boys any longer and left them. Later on both boys lied about their ages and my great grandpa changed his last name to Sturgill (his fathers last name) so both he and his brother Riley could enlist in the army at the same time. Riley was murdered while serving in the service. My great grandfather returned to Ky where he died in the early 70's at I believe Marymount Hospital in London Ky..anyone with information on Nannie Belle or my grandfather please contact me...i cannot find any info on Nannie Belle or her family and where she went after leaving the boys.
