June apple trees

My father and I have been looking for seedlings or seeds of the old fashion june apple tree that was a yellowish green color, not the red and green striped one. These trees mosley usually were ripe by July. Don't know why they are called June apple trees. Would be glad to buy these. Sure would appreciate any response. Martha
