My Father,Daymon King was a member of a CCC Camp,I have no idea what year,but it was possibly out of Breathitt County,KY. I was born in 1939,and he was a coal miner at the Tip Top coal mine when I was born.I remember he told me he tried to enlist in the Army,but failed the physical because of a hernia,so he sighned up for work in the CCCs.We moved to IN while I was a baby and I am trying to fit bits and pieces of my history together,since both parents died while they were quite young.I've never lived in KY since and would love to live there before my time comes.This is a special quest for me,because I have so many family members who live there,and there is a giant hole in my heart and my life for never knowing those people who could tell me so much I need to know.If you find any info on the CCC Camps,please let me know,ok?My e-mail address is jeannieking6@aol.com,I would really appreciate any info you could give.
