Kentucky History-Children's Newspaper

When I was in 4th grade, roughly 1984-1985, we had a class on Kentucky history and for that class we read a newspaper that was only about Kentucky. A teacher friend has suggested that might have been The Kentucky Reader. I simply can't recall the name but that doesn't sounds familiar. I see on this website mention is made of The Kentucky Reader but as a magazine. Does anyone have any ideas what this publication may have been? It was a small newspaper. I loved it as a kid and would love to scrounge up an old issue. Thanks!
