Can someone help me find my mother's grave in Smith Mills Cemetery in Henderson KY? Her name is Velma Pharris Lancaster. She was buried on Oct 21, 1940 in an unmarked grave. Her death was ruled an accident on Oct 20 1940. She fell off a log truck driven by Walter Bandy. My father Willie Lancaster was cutting timber for Bond Brother Tie Company and we moved away when the job was finished. The older children have searched for her grave also and like me, they were told all records had burned. The children's names are Lester Lancaster, married to Edna Zackery; Lula Lancaster, married to Dayton Wilder; Raymond Lancaster, Willie Jr. Lancaster; Gladys Lancaster, Pauline Lancaster, Jonell Lancaster; and me, Louise Lancaster. I was two years old when mother passed away and do not remember her. We want to put a marker on her grave, as there is now only three of her children left. Please help us! Any information is greatly appreciated. Contact me , Louise Lancaster Dutton @ 205-640-7486 or mail @ 15 Moore Lane, Odenville, Alabama 35120.
