A power hose will shift a blockage, but you have to ask why it blocked up in the first place.? You may have a collapse in the drain somewhere, so the blockage will return. |
You would have been better buying a £20 set of drain rods, clearing the blockage, and paying for a camera survey (about £120) to reveal the condition of the drain.
We did this, and discovered that part of our drain had indeed collapsed. Luckily we were insured. The company who did the repair had to dig up at the rear of the house (15 feet down), do the repair, refill the hole, put back all the cobble stones in the correct order, and re-concrete the yard.
They were sound fella's. I asked them, if it wasn't an insurance job, what it would have cost me? They said £8,000.
I nearly shat!
I have the body of a 25 year old. I keep it in the freezer.
