I've never got myself into any really serious trouble, but I'm aware that I'm definitely compulsive, and I've been quite stupid with online slots and live roulette in the past, so I ended up closing all my accounts down years ago.

I'd been having £25 at weekends on what was my mrs' WH account, set up with strict limits, and with the knowledge that she could see how much I was spending - but they deliberately keep all their slot sites and sports betting sites interlinked, with loads of little pop-ups and offers that suck you in (if you are compulsive), just because they are greedy, manipulative, horrendous organisations who know full well what buttons to press.

I'd recently noticed myself going down the route of spending anything I'd won on other things on the site, so I'd never have anything left over for the following week - and although again, no damage was done, it was pissing me off that I was being tempted into behaving like a mug.

I've also had a constantly building unease at the idea of jumps racing - I'm not judging anyone else who loves it, each to their own - but for me, a veggie for 34 years, and I felt it jarred, and I thought it was about time to fook it all off.

There are good people who work for bookies I'm sure, but the organisations themselves are the worst kind of vultures, preying on the weakest and skintest in society by selling that 'one day that big multiple will come in' dream - whilst all the time schmoozing politicians so that they continue to 'self regulate'. So stick a little 'gamble aware' sticker on the end of every ad on the telly (of which there are so fooking many these days) and everything will be ok? Fooking hell!

And then on the flip side, they are the biggest shithouses ever when anybody starts winning - it really shouldn't be allowed that they can close successful accounts, they should be forced to suck up the losses or change their odds/strategies accordingly. Ban the successful and target the manipulable/malleable - win/win for the greedy qunts.

No more from me though - I'm determined!
