1 it sounds absurd because we got beat but that’s the best we’ve played in years. Some excellent attacking fubble and very neat midfield interplay.
2 Gomes. Tremendous, remains an utter dreamboat too, which is always a bonus. His pass to Harrison was sublime.
3 Garner. Played really well too. Looked absolutely knackered at the end.
4 the commentator/pundit (no idea who but I think the pundit was ex Spurs) effusive in their praise of Everton’s application and domination.
5 up the blimmin’ toffees. I feared a collapse after midweek but Dyche really has instilled belief and tenacity in the squad. God only knows how - the team is pretty much composed of established Bottless Gets but they all seem brave in possession and confident in their team mates.
Spurs are a tough team at their place. I’m taking positives from today.
