He virtually plays upfront as it is. I think he'd be less effective as the focal point, he benefits from the distraction of our main centre forward, and does it well. It would also be a massive boot in the confidence of Beto if Dyche opted for Doucoure as DCL's direct replacement. Beto despite his lack of finesse does occupy the centre backs to the benefit of those playing around him.
I do think if both DCL and Beto were out, then Doucoure might be a decent emergency CF option. And one way or another I'd like to see Onana straight back in. After a decent performance on saturday, would you sacrifice Gana for Onana ? One thing for sure, Garner looks like a fixture in the middle.
