Yet another despicable kopite whose spiteful demeanour has gone under the radar
Whilst he was with Coventry they came to Goodison and took the lead and we equalised with a few minutes left but they promptly went up the Park End and scored what turned out to be the winner.
Everton pressed for the last few minutes and Kirkland took it upon himself to collapse in front of the Gwladys Street claiming he'd been struck by a coin. Could have had the ground closed but oddly enough neither the referee, players nor groundstaff could fine the "coin" so presumably no further action was taken.

Later when he played in Wayne Rooney's first derby at the shitpit (0-0) he raced out to intercept Rooney as he broke down the left wing with the obvious intention of breaking him in half; thankfully Rooney stood his ground and somehow absorbed the assault as Kirkland span round him and landed in a heap some ten yards from the dugout.
I really think this was the start of his back problems which affected the rest of his career.
