You’re so ridiculously negative. Our team includes an absolutely brilliant keeper who makes great saves (and as those stats show - is called upon to do so less than most keepers in the division). Is that luck? Nobody says City are lucky when Haaland scores. Pickford is a top player, doing what top players do.

That Sheffield United game also included a joke of a penalty decision against us, and a totally freak goal conceded. You could just as easily claim we were unlucky not to comfortably win.

Personally I don’t really believe in luck. We weren’t unlucky in those opening games, we paid the price for poor squad planning, although efforts to correct that were well underway with Beto, DCL and Harrison. Now the critical gaps are filled, suddenly our luck is dramatically improving.

Interesting observation about DCL but it stands to reason that the 9 in a counter attacking team sees few chances. He’s the platform our attacks are built on, winning it, holding it up, runners breaking off him etc. Doucoure mainly. If we played 15 yards further up DCL would be attacking balls coming into the box and getting many more chances, as he did in Ancelotti’s early days.

Either way works for me like, DCL is a team player and as good a target man as any around at the moment
