One contestant was 5 years removed from his last credible fight having had multiple serious injuries and pull-outs, and well publicised financial problems which clearly was the only
motivation for the whole endeavour.
The other was a cruiserweight champion who was taking crazy money for a silly fight against an injured, effectively retired but well known heavyweight, rather than defending his belts and attempting to unify his division - and who came in, frankly, laughably fat.
The fight itself was a joke. One fighters was lame so couldnít defend himself, the other was knackered so couldnít attack.
Fair play to them, Iíve nothing against people making lots of easy money rather than not much money at great risk (as Bellew would have been if heíd have had fought, say, Usyk to unify). But donít call it a proper, credible fight - itís not, itís a pantomime.
