a consumer's dictionalry of COSMETIC INGREDIENTS by Ruth Winter MS.
I have 5th edition hope there is a newer one.
Great Book: Smart Medicine for your skin by Jeanette Jacknin MD "an easy to sue comprehensive guide to conventional and Alternative therapies for skin health and beauty.
Honestly, I look them up on the internet often, howeve the book is always at hand when the computer is off or at another location and it is directed to our use and application, where on the net you could spend a lot of time on chemical composition and other uses that are of no value to use.
I have also looked at the FDA website, which is very hard to navigate just to understand why 2 products with same ingredient list are so different where one is beneficial and another irritating: my conclusion is the percentage. Thre are guidlines that perhaps aren't always followed, so too much and it becomes irritation.
