Did you use a disincrustation solution of any kind to help soften the skin? I see you did an algea mask first with steam - but Im not sure what your mask does. also did you exfoliate his skin before extractions?
you can use the galvanic with a disincrustation solution with the negative on his skin and the positive as the grounding - depending on how your machine works and placement of the grounding device.
how much pressure where you using? if they are tight in there you dont want to use so much pressure you break the skin - you can damage it.
Personally I would have tried to extract what wanted to come out and since he is coming back for another facial, send him home with an exfoliator to help remove the dead skin and break up the congestion. That way when he comes back for his second facial it will make your job easier and he wont cry...
