You may be right. I am sure that FDA regulates the allowable amount. All florecent bulbs do emmit low levels of bad rays Not just UV rays. Somepeople a very sensitive to other rays and have negitive side effects. Mercury Vapor bulbs are not the same as flourencent until recently they were not available for home use. MV has other environment issues.
Honestly, I have been bathing in sunscreen for 28 years, last summer I was very sick complicated by VIT D defiency. I didn't beleive it could happen to me. VIT D is the miricle pill to me. Moderation in all things, a little sun is good--necessary. Baking on the beach or sitting in a booth is not.
