dangerous eye exposure to mag lights

Why is it that some supply cataloges state their mag light wont hurt the eyes? I think we are talking about florecent lights. Does not floecent light give off UVA rays? That can't be good for our eyes as Estis'. What is the truth on this safety and exposure. Lori please respond.
