once upon a time I did massage from home, unfortunately I was already falling out of love with my work... but I knew I did quality work and having a brochure and business cards helped getting the word out particularly at locations I knew would be good targets.. i.e. Chiropractic offices and Physcial Therapy practices.
Now that i've been doing esthetics for a spa, i know if you're doing your own business you've paid some serious $$$ for products and machines, overhead, etc. Have you thought about doing a web page? Craigslist is also a good way to get yourself known.
