You need to come out with what equates to minimum wage at the end of your pay period (weekly in my case)or higher, which would be fabulous! So the week I worked 20 hours, had one wax, earned $6 plus my three dollar tip, minus taxes and my "product" percentage fee,and was handed a check from the payroll office for (drumroll please....) $5.27 was considered illegal! Go figure huh? It needed to equate to 20 hours times minimum wage minus my tip and commission.... So needless to say we are in touch with the labor board, and will be consulting with a labor law attorney before any of the 6 of us approach the owner.
