My apologies for missing the reunion. I was driving from Boston to San Francisco to report to my latest ship, the mighty Coast Guard Cutter Morgenthau, at the time. So I was chatting up the folks who work for me and come to find out that one of my officers, Art Dehnz, is a 1999 graduate of ERHS. Apparently Art unknowingly followed in my footsteps and went to the Coast Guard Academy. The odds of this? Astronomical. The good news is that we can laugh about Boarmans hair together from time to time. Were currently on a fisheries patrol off Alaska. Its light all the time in Alaska, but its a dry light.
