Welcome back to the States Colin! Let's do it! But, seriously guys I really can't believe this. In Venezuela music is used to save the children from all kinds of trouble. PG needs a music program in my opinion. P.S. Have a happy 4th of July!

: Let's organize a protest. We'll round
: up all the orchestra and band
: alumni and perform an all-night
: concert in the front lobby of
: Roosevelt. I'll take
: responsibility for making sure
: there are lots of cameras, that we
: stay on message, and that the cops
: are well-supplied with donuts.
: Those of you who have talent will
: have to take care of the rest.

: Hey Sharon,
: Yep, Roosevelt is getting a new
: orchestra director. Dont know who
: it is but will try to find out. I
: just know that PG has been trying
: to get rid of music for years.
: With the current budget
: constraits...it might be a
: reality. I have a funny feeling
: that Roosevelt's string program
: will not be up to par as Mr. Laird
: had made it. We will see.

: Hi all
: If any of you were in the music
: program or knew anything about the
: music program then you might want
: to hear this. Just found out that
: Mr. Laird (Orchestra Director) is
: leaving Roosevelt this summer. He
: will be going down to Dr.
: Boarman's school in North Carolina
: to teach music. The Music program
: at Roosevelt will not be the same.
: Plus PG County is trying to get
: rid of music all together...big
: surprise. We wish the best for
: Mr. Laird and his family at his
: new job.
