In the early 80's, La Mafia and Selena developed a friendship that lasted forever. We met Selena at a La Mafia show in Angleton Texas when she was in the audience and Oscar was selecting people to come up and sing the latest La Mafia hit at the time , "Mi Loca Pasion". This was around 1984. The friendship grew and La Mafia assisted Selena Y Los Dinos for a few years in various ways and one of them was using her band as an opening band on the La Mafia tours and also giving musical equipment to her band that La Mafia didn't need anymore as La Mafia bought new stuff. The performance on this video is one of the many times Selena would join La Mafia on stage. This performance was in Houston Texas in 1986 at the Sam Houston Coliseum. The show was taped for a one hour La Mafia TV special where this performance aired originally. Selena was a dear friend of ours and we truly miss her. We feel it's time for us to share some of our memories with her millions of fans. La Mafia...................
