Posted by Jim Entwistle Their father was George William Entwistle (died 1929), of Church near Oswaldtwistle. He served with the East Lancs Regiment,(as did my father); and was last employed as gatekeeper at Steiners Works in Church (or Oswaldtwistle?). Their mother was Jacoba Wilhomena Van Bleurk, probably of South African Dutch or Boer origins. Does anyone know what happened to Tom? Does he have any surviving relatives? Any info welcome. My father was Gerald James Entwistle (1917-1983). He had an older sister, Jacoba Wilhomena (died c1985?)and an older brother Thompson who he lost touch with in the 1950s.
