Posted by Lindsay William's parents were Joseph and Mary (formerly Faulkner)and in 1838 they were living at 'Daw Bank' Stockport. I was unable to find them on the microfilm of 1841 census at the family record center....so guess they had moved or I just missed them. (Very bad quality film) I would like to find out where Joseph and Mary were born. I do not know where they were living in 1851 so wondered if anyone might have easy access to a surname index for Stockport?? Also interested to hear from anyone with links to this Entwistle family...... I also have Entwistle family who moved to Scotland around 1910 who we have lost touch with and would love to find. Thanks

I have traced my Entwistle family back to Stocport, Cheshire 1838 when a William Entwistle was born. He married Phoebe Ann Poole in Stockport 1858 and there family went to Workington, Cumberland.
