He is my great, great, grandfather. I understand he was the son of the Reverend Joseph Entwisle (or claimed to be). This may have been the source of his wealth as inheritance.
I have his family bible which has been passed down to me. There is a list of his children written in the frontispiece.
I notice this is an old post but please feel free to email me if you are still interested. My mother has a much better understanding of this than I.
