I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather's death. Please accept my condolences.
Are there family members who can help with information? Does someone have a copy of his birth certificate? This will give his father's name and occupation, and his mother's maiden name. You can then search for their marriage certificate. It's also possible that his death certificate might give his parents' names.
Why not consider joining the Entwistle Family History Association? We have helped many people to connect with others who are researching the same family. We will also be able to give you advice on obtaining certificates, and other information which will help in your search.
