thank you....I was also thinking ,,,,it also takes time for a child to really come up ....kinda like the little baby fish in the lake at the edge....be still and quiet then they come up and check you out...It is well worth the investment....of time.....it can be as julie cameron calls an "artist date" once a week....do a little child visit once a week.... a lot of quality child care places welcome visiting storytellers etc...It is one of the riches experiences of grandparenting...with proper boundaries of time...etc...sha sha
