Hi Linda. Yes, I have experienced my inner child in dreams. Dream work seems to be where I get my best results. I got out a photo of myself as a toddler a few weeks ago and look at it everyday in an attempt to reconnect. As for starting a dialogue, that seems to bring up a lot of resistance in me and it doesn't feel authentic. A voice in my head judges it as stupid. I did have a creative burst a couple of months ago where I did some drawings, something that I haven't done since I was a boy. That was interesting and seemed very worthwhile.
: This is difficult for me, too. I
: believe you can find whispers of the
: inner child in dreams or in
: emotionals you feel during everyday
: life. Check your dreams and see if a
: baby or a kids pops up. In
: meditation see if you can start a
: dialogue.
:
: If you get really frustrated or
: angry the course of a normal day,
: see if you can put a child's face on
: that anger.
:
: Maybe look at pictures of you as a
: child and see what happens.

: Wow, that's wonderful, how did you
: achieve that? My inner child is too
: scared to come out, I just can't go
: there and get past the resistance.
: Although last week I had a
: disturbing dream and woke up with
: the most awful feelings that were
: probably buried since childhood. I
: found myself automatically pushing
: them away but then found the
: awareness to stay with them. So
: maybe I am making a breakthrough at
: last in accessing those buried
: feelings.

: My inner child has become free of
: the
: anger and confusion from her past.
: She is learning that she can be
: loved and trusted just as she is.
: She no longer has the pain and
: suffering that has lasted for so
: many, many years. At last she is
: free. Just some thoughts I wanted
: to share. Peace to all.
