Posted by Linda on 4/6/2005, 4:47 pm, in reply to "Enlightenment" So I have experienced enlightenment in moments and in direct experiences, but it was not sustained. I'm realizing that in my spiritual growth, this is as it should be. For I am living in the real world as a real person. My goal is integration of all my human experiences. Hope this makes sense.

I don't think enlightenment is a constant state, I think we move in and out of it. Although of course there are sages and mystics with the goal of nirvana, bliss and transcendence, I personally don't have that as a goal. To me, enlightenment, like is to be blended into life WITH other emotions that come from living on a dualistic plane.
