I'm sure you are right but in terms of what you called a secular diagnosis, didn't you mean putting diagnostic word to it. I went to a support group last night for all kinds of "mental" problems. It was really interesting. Much of what they were recommending was similar to meditation, prayer, relaxation, yoga etc. Medication wasn't pushed, and it was recommended that most on medication for "unipolar" depression only use it as a tool for 1-2 years. I found that interesting. I'm not sure exactly how much more specific I can get if I were to use a clinical diagnosis other than unipolar depression or "dysthymia disorder." What would be more specific?
