Posted by Angela on 1/24/2005, 7:02 am, in reply to "Re: Question" My other comment is, rememmber the hindrances, perhaps its trust, perhaps not, but what about the hindrances,- one evening quite awhile back now, when doubt pervaded I opened the book and there was the section on the hindrances I had to laugh so apt and insightful......... I’ve recently been working with Johns alpha journey CD and found this a wonderful resource. Yea this work is challenging, and good, I feel the results are worthwhile. I hope this is helpful. --Previous Message--

This sounds as if you’ve got on a good way , what I want to ask you is, once you accept a feeling have you then been able to be with / allow the feeling(s) to move on through? This, I find, frees the feeling and you. In doing this I often find insights of previous occurrences - similar to gathering a trail backwards to source. At this point, an , ‘oh that was it I remember’ often happens, (these memories often come in different sensory forms ).sitting with that feeling allowing it to vibrate through usually clears it, a realisation, that is enlightening and transformative .I often find this hard but keep on with it!This is restorative, and a way to claim back who you are from a past negative experience thats been suppressed, hidden orwhat ever inisde for a long period of time.
: Hi again,
:
: I guess taking the time to check
: back with the book gives me some
: insight. - Trust, page 188 applies
: to my questions... in reviewing I
: noticed that thought and labeling is
: a step in the process and that is
: the awareness part of it.
: This stuff is such a challenge in
: todays society; don't you find?

: Hi everyone,
:
: I've been away from John's book for
: a month or so, and I want to share
: what I've taken from it. What his
: words have told me, is to clear
: emotions you need to watch them
: rather than become them, and accept
: there presence. The only problem I
: have with this is when I truly
: accept them they seem to go away for
: the time, but return at some time
: later... so am I slowly clearing
: these emotions, or am I suppressing
: them every time they come up? I
: kind of get stuck back at the same
: spot. I'm not truly confident if my
: experience is what John is
: describing. Am I doing it right or
: not? Is it possible for anyone to
: even answer that?
: I would like to add that thought and
: labels have little or nothing to do
: with my process.
: Also the reason for these questions
: is that I can't seem to make this
: process a routine if I don't know if
: it's accomplishing its intent.
: Any insight would be appreciated.
