Posted by Nat on 12/4/2004, 5:02 pm, in reply to "This is where I'm at " I understand what you mean by simply being with the feeling. But at one point, I became really confused, because for a while i just felt the feeling, and i seemed to get worse, that is, i was negative, in a bad mood all the time, and it affected my relationships with others. therefore, it was quite destructive in a way. so, as i said, i got confused with the whole feeling the feeling thing. so, i decided to incorporate more mindfulness techniques into my work, which has provided some amazing insights - it's more like watching the thoughts and feelings, rather than being the thoughts and feelings. i feel mindfulness has helped especially becasue i don't feel much at all - i think a hell of a lot, but have realy trouble feeling. --Previous Message--

Hi there
i feel that the book only slightly touched on mindfulness (the witness), but it's an extremely useful tool.

: Ok, this is where I'm at with these
: things we call emotions, or blocks.
: You have to surrender to them, and
: when I say that I'm saying just feel
: them... accept them and just feel
: them. Don't think about them, and
: don't think about other things or
: even what the cause of the emotion
: might be. Just embrace it and be
: present with it. Oh and a trap I
: have fallen into in the past, and
: probably still do is that I would
: have a goal to be happy or over my
: so called downfalls, you have to let
: go of that to! Just accept them and
: be with them, and see how long the
: pain lasts.
: To be at peace in the moment is true
: fulfillment I know because I've been
: there. The problem is just staying
: their.
: Well that's where I'm at with all
: this. I would love to here of any
: insights you may have as to where
: you are.
