: I think that when we have blocks to certain feelings we may conciously be reinforcing them by feeding the blocks with energy. It takes energy to suppress emotion. I belive it may also be possible that some part of ourselves that is cut off making us not whole needs to be nurtured so it may grow. Perhaps that is m\why emotion may linger. If we are not allowed to grow yet we need to grow we are perpetually experiencing emotional discomfort.
