Hi,
Forget the Seth stuff, and all other New Age stuff, at least until you have enough spiritual growth to discern the wheat from the tares. There are a whole bunch of people making a buck that don't really know what they are talking about and that probably don't really care about people. The people that follow this stuff have never had it bad enough to really have to search for the real truth. I have been on a spiritual search for many years. I have not allowed anyone to tell me anything about who or what God is or how to heal. I have gone into myself and discovered for myself what really works. There is no other way. I found Ruskan's book as soon as it was released and have been using it ever since. It is without a doubt the truth and the most powerful and safe method of genuine psychological and spiritual healing available.
The thought vs. feeling issue you are referring to (ie. thoughts creating feelings) appeared first in the West in the genre of spiritual literature called "New Thought." It is true that negative thoughts create negative feelings as well as other negative external manifestations or conditions, according to what Emmett Fox calls the universal law of mental causation, in his book "Sermon on the Mount." However, the key is that both conscious and unconscious thoughts create these feelings and conditions constantly. Therefore, any negative unconscious thoughts that you have are creating negative feelings that you are possibly unknowingly repressing this very moment(and please don't tell me that "you" don't have any unconscious thoughts, because how would you know that, after all they are Unconscious?). The important point is that without being able to know your unconscious thoughts, your feelings are your only point of access to the reservoir of repressed negativity that keeps your life experience dysfunctional. Once the feelings are simply felt, rather than suppressed or acted out, the natural life flow cycle that all of us are meant to experience is gradually reestablished. Although the suppressed feelings do not feel pleasant, we do feel less numb and more alive as we engage in this process day by day. I recently cleared some very painful self-hatred and felt wonderful afterwards. I did this while sitting in a 12-step meeting. Note also, an extremely important point that Ruskan drives home again and again concerning thoughts. Thoughts and attitudes are extremely resistant to change because they are embedded in a powerful energy matrix of unconscious negative feelings. So, the folks that teach to just change your thoughts, while well meaning, are neglecting that the reality of the human unconscious blocks one from being able to directly change any unconscious thoughts and hence heal the dysfunction that these thoughts are perpetuating.
By the way, I am not a therapist. I am a person who was raised in an extremely sick and abusive alcoholic family. I was abused on a nightly basis by a large mean drunk for 13 years. I was so messed up, nobody could help me. I spent years just barely holding on and searching and searching for the help I needed just to stay alive another day. Please stop listening to others and just use Ruskan's book to go into yourself and discover the beautiful human being that you are. It is all inside you and it will come and it will be completely beyond your wildest dreams!
