I'm glad I got my copy when I did, it's out-of-print, but MAY still be available at the library (but it might be hard to find even there because that's how I got my copy--the library didn't want it in the stacks anymore and put it in the free-to-a-good-home box). I am infamous at the bookstore for disliking-to-the-point-of-hating Paolini, both as a writer and as a person. Chalk it up to an ill favored meeting followed by a 'red pen fest' with the original and Knopf publication of his book then stir in some jelousy that he actually published a book and the entire situation is semi-exagerated and based upon chance. But, with any luck, he will grow up and learn from this experience and mellow out some. (Terry would be unhappy to hear that I developed a very low opinion of Mike Resnick after meeting him twice. But that's another story. Everyone else I've met in the sci-fi/fantasy writing world have been wonderful people.) Wow, too much for a negative post. Anyway, thanks for starting this list of favorite books, in two more days I can actually start reading for fun again! School's out for summer!
I hafta agree with you guys, I love Tad Williams. I read "Dragonbone Chair" in 8th grade, when the other kids would get wide-eyed at the thought of reading anything over 150 pages.
