Posted by Carmel I agree with you about Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" but I keep buying the next book also. Don't let me forget, besides Terry McGarry books which are excellent, I have 2 other authors that I love whose last names start with "Mc". Anne McCaffrey's books about Dragons & Pern are all great. On Amazon.com web site, Some of the books listed let you read the first 5-6 pages from that book. So if you are unfamiliar with an author, it gives you an idea whether you might like to read the book or not.

Actually, "Feast of Fools" is the next George R.R. Martin book in his "Song of Fire & Ice" series. If you liked Tad Williams, Memory, Sorrow, Thorn, then you will most likely enjoy this series also. The next book in Kate Elliott's "Crown of Stars" series is also called "Crown of Stars". This is supposed to be the sixth and last book in this series.
Patricia McKillip's books all have a dream like feel to them. I especially liked the trilogy, Riddle Master. I recently finished a new book by her called "Alphabet of Thorn", which was very mesmerizing. Most of her books are fantasy but she did write one Sci-Fi book called "Fools Run" which I enjoyed.
