Posted by Carmel Kate Elliotts Jaren series and Crown of Stars series. I have read both these series several times, although the sixth book in the Crown of Stars series has not been published yet. By the way, the main female character in Crown of Stars is called Liath. One of my all time favorites by C.J. Cheryh is Downbelow station. My paperback copy of this is so dog-eared that it is literally falling apart at the seams. I have read, bought and liked most of her books, so I not going to name them all but Chanur was one of her series I enjoyed very much. The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, Robin Hobbs Liveship traders and Tawny Man series, Marta Randalls The Sword of Winter, Eragon by Christopher Paolini, and The Coldfire Trilogy by C.S. Friedman. P.C. Hodgell is an author who hasnt gotten much publicity and I think its a shame because her books are quite good. I read her first two books God Stalk and Dark of the Moon in the eighties and I didnt see another book by her until 2001, when she wrote, Seekers Mask which continues the story about Jame from the first two books. I just finished reading Song of Ice & Fire by George R.R. Martin. Just like Terrys books, I found it very hard to put these books down. I must have read all 3 books within 2 weeks. I would have finished them sooner if I didnt have to work. In fact, I was so enthralled by this series that I wasnt paying enough attention to my husband and he got mad at me and threatened to take the book away. So here I am, anxiously waiting for both Triad and Feast of fools. At least Feast of fools will be out by August 4th, Thank God!

While were all waiting anxiously for Triad, I thought we could make recommendations of authors and books we enjoyed. Here are some of mine.
