We can certainly stay right here, and I do not want to switch to a different format if we're going to lose even one person, so be honest. :) :) Advantages to a different format: No more thread sprawl. All replies to a message would appear on the same page, so you could read through the whole discussion without having to click on individual messages or hunt through a long list. You could set it to show you only messages posted since your last visit. You could still receive an email when anyone replied to a message you posted. Disadvantages: It's different. We're all used to this format. This board is more straightforward; I wouldn't move to a complicated interface, but it wouldn't be quite as simple and straightforward as this one. And to get the most out of the features (like seeing only new messages), you'd need to log in. (That doesn't mean you'd have to post any personal information about yourself, although you could post a user profile if you wanted to.) Let me know what you think! It could be really cool to have a new board with nifty features, but if everyone's comfortable enough here, we can keep up just the way we are.
I've been continuing to look into different discussion-board options for us (see the thread "Is any of this getting a bit confusing?" at the bottom of this page). How would you all feel about a change?
