Here's the situation:
Portland State offers 3x as many writing classes as my current college does. I plan to go there, no matter what happens with this quarter. The complication is that I desperately want this Fiction Workshop and it's way overloaded, so I can only stay if I need it to graduate. It is the last writing class I need at this college to graduate, but I didn't sign up for the captstone and this quarter is the only time that both the fiction workshop and the capstone are offered. I can drop my American lit class to take the capstone, but then there would be pressure for me to graduate soon, and if i graduate soon, I won't be able to take the classes at PSU as easily. Also, taking the workshop in combination with two lit classes is going to be a major strain because of reading requirements. Taking the capstone would reduce the amount of reading, but because of the problem with the worm, I don't have any of my previous portfolio work and would have to start that over. I'm afraid that I'll be dropped from the workshop if I don't take the capstone, and this workshop is the class i was looking forward to most. What criteria should be most important or influencial in making this decision? (I really just want to ask what I should do, but that really wouldn't solve anything.)
