Ruby, we are fortunate to be able to plant transplants by the end of March. It's a little risky as we could have a freeze before mid April, but not very likely. I don't grow from seed, no place to plant them, but maybe one day. I have a very small yard.
I will put in tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapenos, cucumbers, eggplant, blackberries, and several different herbs (which I just cover in Winter and they are OK).
Living in the deep South allows us to plant early. However, by July/early August we are frying, so everything dies......
