cardiologist took me off of my bp meds. interestingly enough, enalapril was behind a dry hacking cough after i fell asleep each night. i was on 5 mg a day for many years. since starting the south beach diet about a month ago( great for cardio health and can even reverse diabetes)- it seems i do not need the meds. i only lost about ten pounds or so and have many more to go but it did improve many things. another interesting thing is that he gave me a different med, told me to take a half of the pill, which would be 2.5 mg as needed if my bp goes up to 140/90. so far so good and i am so hopingo be off of it. the night hacking topped too.
re: sinuses- i believe from personal experience that the state of your gut has a big influence as well as environment and things u all have mentioned.
i also do not think that exercise induced rhinitis is so out there as there are many exercise induced ailments such as asthma.
btw..... what a difference in my digestion with this way of eating. i am mostly in phase 1. it is so evident that this diet rocks. my poor hub went off for superbowl sunday and is still up at 2 a.m. with horrifric indigestrion adn all kinds of probs. He even told me he learned his lesson. A huge shocker.
ty all for your support and kind words.
