thank you on the info that you all have given me. i have another question that i hope someone may be able to answer. I have a rather large collection of engines, i would like to know what the compression ratio is for a few of them but instead of tearing them down to figure it out. i was wondering if there was a way to determine the ratio by running a compression test and calculating the volume of the cylinder into it. all of the engines are the same size so the volume of the cylinders is all the same. any info will be a great help
