Does E85 make more horsepower than Gas?

I have been playing around with a thought in my head for awhile now wondering if E85 would make more horsepower that gas in an engine. The E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gas but you would have to change the fuel system so it wouldnt corrode the carb. If anything i said makes any sense to you and you can possibly give me a direction to go in it would be greatly appreciated
