Does anyone know anything about a suggestion report that Dublin Senior Footballers are to play Carlton Aussie Rules Club in an attempt to rekindle an interest in the International Rules Series ? Can't say that I have much time for the International rules concept after the last two Ireland V. Australia series. I certainly don't like the notion of our players getting badly injured and possibly missing a number of inter-county matches, just to break the ice for the GAA. it seems to me that Dublin are always suggested for any of these experiments, eg. playing our 1st league game under lights in Croke Park, again to please the GAA hierarchy, fat lot of good that did us either!!!
