With opposition to the players' grants scheme gathering in a corner of Ulster last night, GAA President Nickey Brennan insisted that the games are not turning professional.
In a statement, Brennan reiterated the GAA's stance that the agreement does not impact on the Association's amateur status, which he describes as its "core tenet".
