True but they'll have to up it to beat Birr.
Paul Ryan is a hell of a talent to not play for so long at that level and step into the breech like that. Boden unlike dublin teams of time gone by can score and they have lads to come on that can score- this gives them a real chance. Birr won't rack up a huge score. they have an outstanding defence and midfield but i think boden can contain them at the back.But
-they need tour de forces from keaney/hiney and perkins and travers and i mean those 4 at their 100% best.
It's an offaly team rather than a kilkenny team and they have a great chance. I hope they do it for the sake of hurling in the capital - i hope everyone interested in hurling puts club allegiances aside and goes to the game. because birr are very good but beatable.
