Posted by JOE Boden performed well in the first half but faded completely in the second as Crokes raised their game knowing that if they lost they were out. Aodhan de Paor moved to midfield for Crokes and he dominated the second half. Boden managed to hold on thanks mainly to their keeper who made some excellent saves. Cuala easily beat S Dublin. That result allied to Crokes losing puts them into the quarter final V O'Tooles.

Had hoped for a much better game after the sh*te the 2 clubs served in last weeks football game. Game wasn't helped by a dire display by a referee who clearly hadn't a clue about hurling. He blew for everything and didn't let the game flow at all. It wasn't a dirty game in any sense but the number of frees awarded was mad. That rant over, then there was the game
