Only heard earlier this evening. Very, very sad news & he only 52 years old. Sure it seems like only yesterday, I met him, PJ & Vinnie in Paddy Cullen's of Ballsbridge after a hurling match. A lovely chap with a great sense of humour. Always remember a story he told of being presented to class of primary schoolboys in Dún Laoghaire after Dublin won the All Ireland in 1983. "Well," says the teacher, "can anyone tell me who this famous young man is?" One bright young spark shot up his right hand almost immediately- "He's me ma's insurance man!"
